All drivers must be 21 years of age or older and hold a valid full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years. Drivers aged 21–24 may incur a young driver surcharge. An EU or UK driving licence is accepted. International drivers must present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their national licence.

For luxury vehicles (Class E and above), the minimum age is 25 years. A clean driving record with no major convictions in the past 3 years is required for all categories.

We accept all major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. A security deposit of £150–£500 (depending on vehicle class) is held at collection and released within 5–7 business days upon return.

Full rental payment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pickup receive a full refund. Late cancellations (under 48 hours) are subject to a 50% charge.

All rentals include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). Personal accident insurance is available as an optional add-on at £8/day.

Our standard policy includes a damage excess of £500. This can be reduced to £0 with our Premium Protection package at £15/day. Cover excludes damage caused by driver negligence, off-road driving, or driving under the influence.

VeloRed operates a full-to-full fuel policy. Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If returned with less fuel, a refuelling charge of £25 admin fee + cost of fuel will apply.

Pre-purchase of a full tank at a discounted rate is available at time of booking, allowing you to return the vehicle on empty with no additional charge.

Economy and Standard class vehicles include 200 miles per day. SUV and Van categories include 250 miles per day. Luxury vehicles include unlimited mileage.

Excess mileage is charged at £0.20 per mile for Economy/Standard, and £0.25 per mile for SUV/Van. Unlimited mileage upgrades are available for £10/day on eligible vehicles.
